Department of Limb Deformity Correction is headed by Dr.NEEDHIRAJAN. He completed MBBS from Stanley Medical College in Chennai. He underwent post graduation training in Trauma & Orthopaedics and travelled to UK. He completed FRCS (ortho). He is a keen teacher. He has presented a number of peer reviewed papers in European Conferences. He was appointed as lead clinician for Lincolnshire Deanery in the United Kingdom. He was involved in training of British Orthopaedic graduates in the UK.. He worked as a consultant in Orthopeadic Department at Lincoln County Hospital, UK. He is a highly skilled surgeon in using external fixator (illizarov, spatial frames, Nottingham devices). He has operated on more than 300 highly complex patients in the UK. He was trained by world renowed Orthopaedic Surgeon N.M.P. CLARKE in Southampton. and by Dr. Fernandes in Shiffield Hospital, Orthopaedic Unit. He undertook a Fellowship in Ilizarov in Kurgan, Russia.
Special Interest: Paediatric orthopaedics, Limb deformity correction, foot and ankle surgery and limb reconstruction using Ilizarov and other advanced frames.
